Morehead, Kentucky is nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains in the Daniel Boone National Forest near beautiful Cave Run Lake. Historic First Street is home to the Kentucky Folk Art Center and the Morehead Conference Center.  Morehead is located about 1 hour east of Lexington, Ky., via I-64 and about 1 hour west of Ashland, Ky. and Huntington, W.Va., via I-64.
